⚠️ Clear Legacy is a document preparation service. We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice. No solicitor-client relationship is created by using our services.

1. About Us

Clear Legacy is a trading name of Kaizen Finance Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is in England. We provide document preparation and estate planning support services to individuals in England and Wales.

We are not a law firm, solicitors’ practice, or authorised legal services provider. We are not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or any other legal services regulator. Our will writing and LPA preparation services are unregulated activities under the Legal Services Act 2007.

2. Services We Provide

Clear Legacy provides the following document preparation services:

💡 Our probate service is a support and document preparation service only. We do not act as your legal representative, we do not apply for probate on your behalf, and we do not conduct reserved probate activities as defined by the Legal Services Act 2007. You remain the applicant throughout.

3. No Legal Advice

Nothing on this website or provided through our services constitutes legal advice. All information is provided for general guidance only. If your circumstances are complex — including disputes, foreign assets, business interests, or potential inheritance claims — you should seek independent legal advice from a solicitor.

No solicitor-client relationship arises between you and Clear Legacy or Kaizen Finance Ltd as a result of using our services or this website.

4. Eligibility

Our services are available to individuals who:

We do not provide services for Scottish or Northern Irish law. If you own significant assets in Scotland or Northern Ireland, separate legal advice is required.

5. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

⚠️ A Will that is not correctly signed and witnessed is invalid. Clear Legacy cannot be held responsible for documents that are incorrectly executed after delivery to you.

6. Turnaround and Delivery

We aim to prepare and deliver documents within 24 hours of receiving complete instructions. This is a target, not a guarantee. During peak periods or for more complex instructions, preparation may take longer. We will notify you of any delays.

Documents are delivered electronically in PDF format. It is your responsibility to print, sign, and witness documents correctly. We recommend retaining the original signed document in a safe location.

7. Pricing and Payment

All prices are shown on our website and are in pounds sterling (GBP) inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering via our secure Stripe payment gateway.

Current pricing:

OPG registration fees (£82 per LPA) and HMCTS probate court fees (£273) are separate government charges and are not included in our fees.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

You have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you request a cancellation before work has commenced, you are entitled to a full refund within 14 days of your order.

If you request that work commences immediately (by proceeding past the checkout), you acknowledge that your right to cancel may be reduced once preparation has begun. If work is fully completed and documents delivered within the 14-day window, the right to cancel may be lost.

We do not offer refunds for documents that have been prepared correctly but which you have subsequently decided not to use.

Complaints and refund requests should be directed to: hello@clearlegacy.co.uk

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Professional Indemnity

Kaizen Finance Ltd maintains professional indemnity insurance appropriate to the document preparation services we provide.

11. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with our services, please contact us in writing at hello@clearlegacy.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and provide a full response within 14 business days.

If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may refer it to the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) or another approved ADR scheme. Details will be provided on request.

12. Data Protection

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the UK GDPR. Estate planning necessarily involves sensitive personal data. We take the security of your information seriously and do not sell or share your data with third parties except as required to provide our services (e.g., Stripe for payment processing, Formspree for form submissions).

13. Intellectual Property
