Refund Policy

You review and approve your completed will before making any payment. Because you have full visibility of the final document prior to purchase, all sales are final and non-refundable.

1. The headline

ClearLegacy does not offer refunds. All sales made through this website are final. This is because of how our service is structured: you only pay after you have seen, reviewed and approved your finished will.

2. How our buying process works

Unlike most online stores, you do not pay anything to start using ClearLegacy. Money only changes hands at the very last step, once you have already seen exactly what you are buying.

  1. You complete the online questionnaire. Free to use. No card details required.
  2. We generate your will from your answers. Still free. You can review the draft on screen.
  3. You read and approve your finished will. If anything is wrong, you can edit your answers and re-generate the document — as many times as you need, at no cost.
  4. Only once you are satisfied do you proceed to checkout. Payment is taken via Stripe at this final step.
  5. The approved PDF is delivered to your email. The same document you have already seen and approved.

The practical consequence: by the time you click "Pay", you have already read the finished will in full and confirmed you are happy with it. There is no surprise, no sight-unseen purchase, and nothing for a refund to remedy.

3. Why this means all sales are final

Because you have full sight of the completed document before you pay, payment is the moment you accept the work. There is no period during which you have "not yet seen what you bought" — you have already seen it. For that reason:

4. Express consent at checkout

By clicking "Pay" you give your express consent for ClearLegacy to deliver the approved digital document immediately to your email address, and you acknowledge that the service has been fully performed at that point. As permitted under regulation 36 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the 14-day distance-selling cancellation right does not apply once you have given that consent and the digital service has been performed.

5. What this policy does not affect

This policy applies to refund claims based on dissatisfaction or change of mind. It does not affect:

6. Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback through your card issuer in respect of a will document you have already reviewed, approved and accepted at checkout will be treated as a breach of these terms. We will provide the card scheme with evidence of your in-app approval and delivery and will defend the chargeback. We reserve the right to recover any costs we incur defending a chargeback in respect of an approved digital purchase.

7. Before you pay — ask us anything

If anything is unclear before you reach the payment step — about the service, the document, the price, or this policy — please email hello@clearlegacy.co.uk or call +44 7707 071984. There is no obligation, no card on file, and no payment due until you tell us you are ready.

8. Complaints

If you are unhappy with the document after payment, please follow our Complaints Procedure rather than requesting a refund. We aim to acknowledge complaints within three working days and to provide a final response within 28 days. Where we have made an error, we will put it right at no further cost.
